NWOESC Book Study: A Framework for Understanding Poverty
Learning Path Outcomes:Participants will have an understanding of the hidden rules of the middle class and the effect these rules have on children and adults of poverty. Participants will be given a chance to understand, at a deeper level, the students within their classroom that live in poverty and how to communicate effectively with their parents. Author Information: Sally Kovar has been an Education Consultant for the Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center in Archbold, Ohio since 2002. Sally serves districts as a Gifted Consultant and plans various county-wide events such as Quiz Bowls and MathCounts Competitions.
