NWOESC – Child Abuse & Neglect Identification Training
Education for child care employees about children's health, including child abuse and neglect issues, are important. This course helps to ensure that quality care is provided. This course material has been certified by Joanna Harmon, RN, BSN, NwOESC Health Nurse for Central Local Schools in Northwest Ohio and meets the requirements of ORC 3319.073 (pertaining to the Child Abuse and Neglect Course). Please contact your employer prior to enrolling to verify acceptance.
Learning Path Outcomes:At the conclusion of this learning path, participants will be able to identify types of child abuse and neglect, describe the dynamics and consequences of child maltreatment, identify five strategies they can implement to prevent child abuse and neglect, and understand the policy and procedure for reporting suspected cases of maltreatment of students who are in their school system.
